VIRTUAL STUDIO \ GROUP LESSON DESCRIPTION

In this course we’ll be spending a month exploring the human form. Join Julian and a small art group together online, for 4 x 100 minute lessons throughout the month. This is a brand new subject and we will be exploring the many ways throughout art history that artists have used symbolism, allegory and metaphor in order to give added depth to their paintings. We are very excited to get stuck into this topic!

Students will be working alongside Julian during these live sessions as he explains travel sketching, watercolour painting, and how to make a beautiful and rewarding travel journal. The group will be limited to 12 students (in 2 timezone groups) in order that you will have an opportunity for one-on-one personal assistance and critique. We hope this will be a lot of fun and that the group atmosphere will inspire you to produce some terrific artwork.

GROUP LESSONS

All levels welcome. From beginner to professional, these virtual lessons are valuable to expand your abilities, skills, and range of possibilities. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere, you’ll be able to receive the time and attention you’ll need to accomplish your goal of either continuing on current work, or creating something new for the first time!

Each group online lesson will be conducted through Zoom (the virtual classroom). We will send complete instructions on how to easily connect to this after sign up. All you’ll need to do is click the link and we’ll be waiting!

INSTRUCTOR

Julian Hyzler will be your instructor for this unique online program. As the founder of Artist in Italy and Easel&Lens, he has been leading international art groups for over 12 years and teaching students of all ages and abilities for over 25 years. Adept in various mediums and techniques, from painting (oil, acrylic, water) and drawing, to photography and mixed media, Julian will lead each student in a personalised program designed for each skill-level and interest.
