VIRTUAL STUDIO \ PAINT TOGETHER

FRI DEC 15, 2023 - Join Julian for a special “Paint Together” event. We will meet online to start and finish a painting together during a 2-hr period. This time we will be painting a winter scape from the beautiful Val d’Orcia here in Tuscany. I always try to find an image which says just enough without having to say everything. I chose this one because the background creates a dramatic colour contrast with the foreground, and there is a wonderful opportunity to play with snow and its shadows, something i have never tried! As usual I will paint my painting for the first time alongside you, so we come across any difficulties together and resolve them together. It’s fun.

GROUP LESSONS

All levels welcome. From beginner to professional, these virtual lessons are valuable to expand your abilities, skills, and range of possibilities. In a fun and relaxed atmosphere, you’ll be able to receive the time and attention you’ll need.

Our Paint Together sessions will be conducted through Zoom (the virtual classroom). We will send complete instructions on how to easily connect to this after sign up. All you’ll need to do is click the link and we’ll be waiting!

INSTRUCTOR

Julian Hyzler will be your instructor for this unique online program. As the founder of Artist in Italy, Paint Italy and Easel&Lens, he has been leading international art groups for over 15 years and teaching students of all ages and abilities for nearly 30 years. Adept in various mediums and techniques, from painting (oil, acrylic, water) and drawing, to photography and mixed media, Julian will lead each student in a personalised program designed for each skill-level and interest. WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Julian will be painting on a canvas around 12” x 12” (30cm x 30cm)- if you have a different size, don’t worry, we can work with that too!

Feel free to paint larger or smaller.

We’ll be working in acrylic paints, so please have a set of at least the basic colours ready. Once again, please feel free to work in another medium - we have had a lot of success in the past nights with oils, pastels and gouache.
